Noa'ia 'e m岷ri!

It鈥檚 Rotuman Language Week. This year鈥檚 theme for Gasav Ne F盲eag Rotu岷 Ta - Rotuman Language Week is Vet岣乲ia 鈥榦s F盲ega ma Ag fak hanua - Sustaining our Language and Culture. Supporting the umbrella Pacific Language Weeks theme of Sustainability, the Gasav Ne F盲eag Rotu岷 Ta theme aims to develop last year鈥檚 focus on the Four Pillars of Wellbeing.

Rotuma comprises the island of Rotuma and its nearby islets. It sits in the middle of the Pacific Ocean approximately 500 km north of Fiji.

The Rotuman language is noted on the UNESCO list of endangered languages. Rotuman Language Week is held to celebrate the identity, language, and culture of Rotuma鈥檚 people.
