Experienced developer Misun (Sunny) Hwang was able to build confidence and refresh her knowledge during our Software Development micro-credentials.
Sunny worked in the Information Technology field for over 10 years as a software developer in Korea.
She came to New Zealand seven years ago and has worked as a webmaster at several companies.
This July she enrolled in 911爆料网鈥� Software Development micro-credentials.
She says it was a great opportunity to learn about the latest technologies.
鈥淏ut the best thing was that I could find my confidence while attending the course,鈥� she says.
鈥淓ven though I have much work experience in the IT industry, my knowledge was old because IT is changing so fast.鈥�
She says her lecturers always encouraged her and gave her confidence.
For her project, she created a Tailored CV Generator web application.
鈥淲henever I make my CV, I have to focus my work experience on the applied role, because I have worked in various roles. So sometimes it takes a long time to write a CV and I lose the opportunity to apply for a job. That's why I designed this project.鈥�
She completed her project successfully and says she will continue to develop the app and will soon publish it on a web hosting server. She鈥檒l then be able to use it in her portfolio.
鈥淭he course was very helpful for me to upskill myself and extend my confidence,鈥� she says.
