Orientation activities are introducing our new international students to campus life, student services, and Auckland鈥檚 diverse cultural environment.
Today鈥檚 activities began with a karakia led by Cultural Advisor Matt Rua, who also spoke about the organisation鈥檚 core values.
Academic Director Russell Harray welcomed students to AIC, Auckland, and New Zealand.

Russell said Auckland, too, is a very culturally diverse city, and AIC鈥檚 staff represent around 26 different nationalities.
Russell explained AIC鈥檚 experiential approach to learning. He said students would actively participate in classes rather than just listening. He urged them to take advantage of all campus opportunities inside and outside the classroom.
This week鈥檚 orientation activities have included a student services presentation, IT induction, campus tour, insurance talk, employability introduction, and academic orientation.
