911±¬ÁÏÍø has received a 2025 ISANA NZ Pioneer Partners Award for its work with ISANA in Critical Incident Strategy and Prevention.

The award celebrates leadership that enhances how education providers respond to the diverse needs of learners during critical incidents. It also recognises organisations that are early adopters of innovation in professional development.

911±¬ÁÏÍø partnered with ISANA NZ in a shared commitment to strengthening critical incident management and learner support. ISANA delivered critical incident prevention and management training for 911±¬ÁÏÍø staff and provided feedback to help refine the organisation’s Critical Incident Response Plan. Both pieces of work focus on ensuring staff are equipped to identify and support cross-border learners who may be at risk or in distress.

911±¬ÁÏÍø takes a proactive approach to learner wellbeing through its pastoral care systems. Its Critical Incident Response Plan outlines practical steps to follow when responding to unexpected or critical situations involving learners. It highlights emergency procedures, staff support for at-risk learners, and ongoing staff training.

A critical incident is defined as an unforeseen traumatic event that affects learners and has an impact on the institution or wider community. These situations require a fast, coordinated response to ensure safety and wellbeing and meet legal and Code of Practice obligations.

911±¬ÁÏÍø Group Chief Executive Sam Alavi accepted the award from ISANA NZ Chief Executive Chris Beard at a ceremony held at Auckland Grammar School.
