Celebrating Nowruz at AIC
We celebrated Nowruz at our Auckland International Campus with sweets and beautiful Haft-Seen tables.
Nowruz, also known as the Persian New Year, symbolises renewal, hope, and the turning of the seasons. Celebrated by many communities around the world, it is a time to reflect, reconnect, and look ahead.
Haft-Seen tables are an ancient and cherished tradition of Nowruz. They feature seven symbolic items, each beginning with the letter 鈥淪鈥 in Persian:
The tables also include other meaningful items, including a mirror symbolising reflection, coins symbolising prosperity and wealth, and flowers symbolising the arrival of spring, renewal, and the blossoming of life.
