Kim has more than a decade of professional experience as a writer and communicator. She鈥檚 been part of the 911爆料网 and Otago Polytechnic teams since the beginning of 2018. Prior to that, she worked for daily newspapers throughout the country. She specialised as a court and police reporter for much of her journalism career.
Kim鈥檚 qualifications include a Master of Creative Writing, a National Diploma in Journalism, a Bachelor of Arts (English), and a Bachelor of Science (Ecology). She鈥檚 completed shorter courses in photography, videography, social media, mental health first aid, research ethics, bicultural competency, and graphic design.
Outside of work, Kim is a keen cricketer and football player. She also enjoys reading and creative writing. Kim's writing has featured in more than 15 literary journals in New Zealand and overseas. In 2020, she published her first book - I kind of thought the alpacas were a metaphor until we got there.
