Jason Jin

Sessional Lecturer

Jason Jin is a business management lecturer with over a decade of professional experience in multinational corporates in the hospitality industry, including five years in senior management roles. His industry expertise spans leadership, operations, marketing, and human resource management.

Jason holds a Master of Business in International Business and Management from Auckland University of Technology (AUT), awarded in 2012. Drawing on his practical management background, Jason lectures in a range of business subjects – including Strategic Management, Leadership, Marketing, and International Business. His teaching approach bridges real-world industry insights with academic frameworks and theory.

Jason’s research explores participative leadership behaviours in Chinese enterprises, with a focus on how leadership styles influence organisational performance and employee engagement. His academic interests include leadership development, cross-cultural management, strategic decision-making, and the application of participative leadership in emerging economies.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys playing guitar and football.
