Harshvardhan holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, with a focus on cryptographic hash function development. He also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science and engineering, as well as a New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5).
With over a decade of experience across data science, machine learning, and applied analytics, Harshvardhan has worked at the intersection of research, education, and industry innovation. His career spans roles in academia and data-driven organisations, where he has developed predictive models, designed interactive dashboards, and led analytics initiatives supporting strategic decision-making.
At GenBioca Pvt Ltd, as a data scientist, he contributed to healthcare analytics projects using machine learning and visualisation tools to translate complex clinical data into actionable insights. Earlier, at CIIRC Bangalore, he led research in machine learning applications for agriculture and materials science, managing projects on yield prediction, disease detection, and supercapacitor performance modelling.
Harshvardhan’s research interests include cryptographic hash algorithms, data science, artificial intelligence, analytics, and information security. He is passionate about integrating technology and education to create meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for the future of work.
His goal is to empower learners to apply theoretical and practical knowledge effectively, develop critical thinking skills, and build confidence to succeed in both academic and professional environments. He aims to create an inclusive and engaging learning experience that supports diverse learner needs.
Outside of work, Harshvardhan enjoys writing and exploring emerging technologies. He also likes spending time with his family and participating in community learning initiatives.
